Fairfield Inn & Suites - Rohnert Park

One of the main goals of this project was to utilize modular construction to minimize time and budget for this location. Due to site area limitations and a compressed footprint, the building was slated to be five stories high which meant it needed to utilize Type III construction. This project is also located in a higher seismic hazard zone which created several challenges particularly for the structural team, especially based on using modular construction.

The Type III construction requirement demanded unique details which required significant coordination with both the State and City Inspectors. BRR rose to the challenge to increase communication across all teams, routinely coordinating with the owner, GC, modular production team and Fire Marshall to keep the project moving forward.
