Love's Travel Stop

In Bakersfield, California, BRR collaborated with Love’s Travel Stops to design and build a new location that features travel-essential amenities. At this location, consumers can find a drive-thru restaurant, RV hookups, gas and diesel fuel options, large restrooms, showers, laundry and more.

BRR designed this location in line with Love’s proto and design standards. The interior features light wood laminate and a contrast of dark grey brick near the entryways. The client’s brand yellow accents the perimeter of the sales floor and is used throughout the store’s signage.

Connected to this location is an Arby’s restaurant and drive-thru, providing travelers with another hot food option. The team incorporated dark and rustic wood paneling, red vinyl booths and white subway tiles into the design.

The exterior features wood-look fiber cement panels, dark bricks and Love’s signature and echo heart signage for customer recognition. Among the amenities are overnight RV parking spaces where RV travelers can connect to water, sewage, electrical and Wi-Fi. The project includes a SpeedCo facility on site for the maintenance of large trucks and trailers.

BRR and Love’s Travel Stops first collaborated in 2019 and more than 125 projects later, the teams continue to design and innovate locations nationwide.
