Lovesac

Lovesac opened a 2,500-square-foot location in Plano, Texas at The Shops at Willow Bend. The client wanted the store’s retail experience to function as an interactive showroom where customers can acquire hands-on knowledge of the brand’s furniture. Interior screen displays allow customers to experiment with furniture configurations in a virtual environment.

BRR worked with Lovesac to align the environment with the client’s contemporary and modern brand. The design includes soft whites, punctuated with Lovesac’s teal brand color for visual intrigue. Interior spaces are made to look like home environments with textured walls and built-in shelving. The exterior façade features stone tiles while tying in a strip of color across the entry and accentuates the white logo. While updating the façade, BRR carefully aligned the brand’s façade requirements with the shopping mall’s cohesive aesthetic.

The client actively participated in the design process and provided design development sets to direct BRR toward the style and layout of the final space. In addition to the client’s feedback, designers collaborated with the landlord for utility requirements, structural coordination and mall design review approval.

BRR matched the fast pace set by the client, which resulted in the project taking six months from the start of construction documents to construction completion. BRR advised the client to construct selective demo early on in the process due to limited information for wall construction. The team was able to pivot and adjust designs based on the findings and delivered the project on time for a successful grand opening.
